Walking by faith, not by sight means that we may not always fully understand the part that we play or how the pieces all fit together.
A few years ago, I attended a photography exhibition. The photographer had spent his life taking pictures of doors, lots of doors, different doors! The pictures were stunning and beautiful, but it seemed a bit odd (strange almost), that a person should spend a lifetime taking pictures of one subject.
When you feel called, led to do something all you really know is you have to do it-a bit like breathing!
For me, I have felt directed to write not knowing fully how what I write will be used but knowing I must do it.
Today, the words of Revelation 3 v20 came to mind: “I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice, and opens the door, I will come in and dine with him and he with me.”
Today, I needed pictures of doors, lots of doors, different doors to help illustrate this blog. Thankfully, I was able to find lots of images.
This made me feel incredibly thankful and grateful for all those, who, even though they may not know how all the pieces fit together, still faithfully walk in obedience and do what they feel called and led to do.
Today, what you create may be exactly what someone else needs or is searching for.
